When I was in high school, I was fumbling with bits and pieces of who I was. Through the ebb and flow of self identity and navigating the world, there have been two people who’s support and love have been constant and unforgettable. .
Dave and I met in PE freshman year at Lafayette High, and we famously hated each other at first. That quickly dissipated when we were both in choir and discovered our love for theatre. Dave and I have this outspoken bond to always keep each other laughing at the goofiest things, and I doubt that will change in the future.
Katie and I met in our high schools drama club. We have shared such sweet moments from watching and dancing to Singing in The Rain in @martinharris1 classroom after school, to taking a road trip to North Carolina to see Dave for the 4th of July. Katie is strong and beautiful in the way she moves through life. She is resilient and kind and responsible, and I’m lucky to be in her sunshine. .
Last weekend I went to New York to celebrate the time they’ve been together, and raise a glass to the next chapter. Love these two with all of me. Here’s to them. ✨
