Real talk.. I’ve been a little distracted to lift consistently lately. Nothing really “going on” just times when my mind is focused too much on other things and I find myself out of balance. We all go through times where we get distracted from our goals. We become so overwhelmed with the day-to-day and stressors of life that we put our health on the back burner. But then I remember that working out is one of the BEST stress relievers! #endorphins .
Procrastination gets us nowhere and if we WANT to grow, eventually we have to overcome. Wouldn’t you rather do it now instead of dread and stress each day because you’re not happy with your current situation? .
Choose to do the hard things first.. that way you’re stronger and wiser for the journey ahead.🙌🏻

Since the start of the year she has made unreal progress not just physically but mentally too. She’s only been training seriously for 8 months now and her body is already looking incredible, I couldn’t be more proud ☺️ She’s loving the fitness journey and is becoming more like me everyday.. Exercise combos are a great way to build strength, improve conditioning, & burn fat. They also introduce a level of excitement & newness if you’re getting bored & need to switch up your usually workout routine. 🙌🏼

Here are 5 things to consider when programming combo exercises:
1️⃣ Choose combinations that allow a fluid transition from one movement to the next.
2️⃣ Pick the right resistance - a good rule of thumb is to select resistance that you are comfortable doing your weakest movement with.
3️⃣ Set appropriate rep ranges - if you are new to using exercise combos start off with lower reps & increase them over time.
4️⃣ Select the right equipment - dumbbells & resistance bands are great options because you can go bilateral, unilateral or ipsilateral.
